Story

The story of ‘Jai Ho’ revolves around Jai (portrayed by Salman Khan) who takes up cudgels against the powerful and injustice. Jai, who has been suspended from the army, has a firm belief in helping people who are in need. He wants the country to prosper and all its citizens to help each other. Daisy Shah plays his love interest in the movie.

His sister Geeta (Tabu) has great pride in him and knows his strengths. His close buddies(Yash Tonk and Ashmit Patel) believe in his ideology and follow him everywhere. The central theme of the movie is to help a person in need, who in turn must return the favour by helping three other persons, forming a chain of good deeds.

Analysis :

jaiho-review ‘Jai Ho’ is not a masala movie, but Sohail didn’t refrain from taking cinematic liberty at a few shots. The movie has a good social message of helping a needy person. The idea of a common man aka the ‘aam aadmi’ goes well with the current scenario in the country. His message that even one man can make a difference is laudable.

Being a Salman Khan movie, the action sequences are quite good, after all fans like it when he roughens up the bad boys. The film scores just above average when it comes to music. Except the songs ‘Apna Kaam Banta’ and ‘Tere Naina’, the rest of the songs fail to impress and are forgetable. Audience will connect to the dialogues as they are simple and hard hitting. The film’s action sequences has been shot well and the cinematography is also quite impressive. Go for it, ‘Jai Ho’ has good entertainment and a social message as well.

Performance :

jaiho -review Salman Khan as Jai has done really well. The superstar has delivered one of his best performances in his career in Bollywood. He has effectively conveyed a simple but strong message in this movie through entertainment. Debutant Daisy Shah does not have much to do in the film, which was expected. But the lady does have a strong screen presence, which she can prove in future if given meatier role in a movie.

Tabu and Nadira Babbar (Jai’s mother) have done justice to their role. They portray the role of strong women that a man like Jai would seeks from his family. The rest of the cast with character roles also did a wonderful job. Genelia D’Souza plays role of a handicapped girl and Vikas Bhalla is her brother, Suniel Shetty as an army officer, Danny Denzogpa as the Home Minister, Mukul Dev as son-in-law of Denzogpa, Mohnish Behl as the Chief Minister, Mahesh Manjrekar as an auto rickshaw driver, Varun Badola, Tulip Joshi, Aditya Pancholi, Pulkit Samrat and comedian Sudesh Lehri all played their role well.

Final Word:
Watch ‘Jai Ho’ specially for Salman Khan.
